As a Finn, I wouldn't expect any foreign to learn the correct pronunciation of Niinistö. If you're not a native speaker, it is extremely unlikely you'll nail it even with extensive practice.
I actually thought her first try was decent enough, if she hadn't gone to correct it, it would have been fine just as is.
Finns don't expect perfect pronunciation.
Caldera True but Finnish most Finnish surnames can be pronounced phonetically e.g. Sarinen, Virtanen etc.
His name is actually quite difficult to pronounce for foreigners, even if they had learnt quite a bit of Finnish.

Yes, most can, but since the English language lacks the umlaut letters öä and å, pronouncing those correctly is nearly impossible for non-native speakers.
My point is, if someone pronounces Niinistö as 'Niinisto', a huge majority of Finns would be 100% fine with it even if it's not correct.
And my second point is; Don't get upset on behalf of other people. Finns are happy enough to be recognized and that someone at least tries to get things right, if it actually was is secondary to the fact that they tried. We just don't get upset with the wrong pronunciation.

We have a very bad president in Finland, he is a green poor man, he always thinks that the tsunami is due to climate change and when he sits in the back seat of a fine car paid for by taxpayers and someone accelerates past him immediately comes to mind about climate change.

En usko, että Suomessa presidentillä on paljoa sana valtaa tällaisissa päätöksissä. Vaikka Niinistö onkin aika neutraali presidentti, en nää siinä mitään vikaa. On tärkee arvostaa luontoo ja ottaa ilmastonmuutos tosissaa. Haluutko avata sun näkemystä enemmän ja perustella miks sanot noin?
